The exhibition and event list for this year includes: on-site exhibition activities like Exhibition of Improved Breeds and Methods, Exhibition of Seed Industry Brands, Yueqiang Seed Core-Guangdong Seed Industry Revitalization “Five Years Achievements” Achievements Exhibition, “14th Five-Year Plan” Guangdong Province Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Exhibition, Guangdong Potato Industry Whole Industry Chain Achievements Exhibition, Modern Agricultural Equipment Exhibition, AI+ Agricultural Application Scenario Exhibition, and Urban Small Vegetable Garden Exhibition. These were followed by various activities like second national seed industry intellectual property seminar and exchange event, facility planting mechanization technology and equipment seminar and exchange activity, Guangdong Smart Agriculture Conference, Guangdong Potato Industry Whole Industry Chain Cooperation Conference, and so on. All these have been conducted with a focus on cultivating an overall whole industry chain development system based on “integration of industry, academia and research, and breeding and promotion” and an all-factor event for the overall agriculture industry chain.
The more significant change occurs with regards to its organizational innovation. Based on the establishment of a platform at the provincial level and city and county governments, as well as within production areas, Guangdong Seed Industry Expo boasts an enlarged radiation range and stronger driving forces within industries.
The branch venues for the 24th Guangdong Seed Industry Expo in 2025 will be across 15 cities and 19 exhibition spots, with an exhibition area exceeding 1,400 acres. Seed Industry Brand Exhibition: Its exhibition area measures 7,500 square meters and breaks down into several main exhibition sections like brand exhibition, food camp, and ‘Seed Industry+’ exhibition area. It integrates famous enterprises, famous goods, and famous equipment.
The AI+ Application Scenario Exhibition for Agriculture will demonstrate the use of AI with corn, cabbage, and more, discuss the implementation of a technology platform involving IoT, drones, and AI, introduce comprehensive crop life-cycle control, enable remote observation of fields via drone cruising, and enable acquisition of precise agriculture decision support via AI models.
At the Modern Agricultural Machinery Equipment Exhibition, there were exhibits on intelligent farm equipment solution display, low-altitude economy display, vegetable production support machinery and equipment, and modern agricultural equipment display for small agricultural machinery in hilly and mountainous regions. All these were geared towards enhancing the efficient use and upgrade of farm equipment.
It brought together internationally prominent seed enterprises like Rijkswand from the Netherlands and Sennis from the United States. The conference arranges international seed industry forums, business negotiations, and enhances connections and cooperation with global seed industry organizations. It fits into the national layout and innovation circle of the seed industry and global seed industry innovation chain and industry chain, making Guangdong's strength an active contribution towards national seed industry revitalization and global seed industry development.
