Microporous pleated filter cartridges (PP pleated filter cartridges) are made of pure polypropylene multi-pleated filter media.
The material complies with GMP and FDA standards and uses ultrasonic heat fusion, eliminating the need for adhesives.
Structure: This filter cartridge features a double-layer polypropylene structure. The inner layer is a PP filter membrane as the final filtration layer, while the outer layer uses a non-woven fabric with a small pore size as a coarse filtration layer, serving as a pre-filtration layer. The inner and outer supports are made of polypropylene or stainless steel; therefore, this filter cartridge combines pre-filtration and final filtration into one.
Filtration accuracy: Eight pore sizes are available: 0.10, 0.22, 0.45, 0.65, 0.8, 1, 3, and 5 pores, selectable according to user requirements.
Operating conditions: Operating pressure differential: 5 bar at 20℃; 4 bar at 60℃; 2.8 bar at 80℃. High-temperature sterilization temperature not exceeding 100℃.
Advantages of microporous pleated filter cartridges: Large filtration area due to the compact structure, low initial pressure differential, fast flow rate, small filter volume, and low cost. Because it combines pre-filtration and final filtration into one unit, the filter cartridge has a larger dirt-holding capacity. Its service life is longer than that of single-pore size filter cartridges. Made of pure polypropylene, its chemical compatibility is easily assessed.
Disadvantages: Due to the folded filter paper layer, the working pressure generally cannot exceed 0.3 MPa. Exceeding this pressure will cause the micropores to expand, allowing solids to easily pass through the filter. Especially when the working temperature exceeds 60℃, the backwashing effect is not ideal.
Model: Double-ended flat-pressure type: Outer diameter Φ68±1mm, Inner diameter Φ28mm
Length (international standard): 2.5 inches, 5 inches, 10 inches, 20 inches, 30 inches, 40 inches
Interface type: 215, 222 (insertion type), 226 (snap-in type), M30, M36
Microporous pleated filter cartridge features: A membrane pleated filter cartridge with a membrane as its core. After determining the membrane material, polypropylene non-woven fabric (mesh) is divided into a flow guide layer and a support layer, pleated, inserted into the central tube, and installed in the housing. All parts are sealed using adhesive-free hot-melt welding technology to form a complete integrated filter cartridge. It is free of chemical contaminants, and the product undergoes rigorous integrity testing.
Endotoxin ≤0.25EV/ml, conforming to the United States Pharmacopeia (VSP) standard.
Typical applications of microporous pleated filter cartridges: Filtration of process water in the electronics industry; pre- and post-treatment of deionized water; Filtration of various gases; Petrochemical, chemical, film, fiber optic, and pharmaceutical industries; Bioengineering and fermentation industries; Security filtration in reverse osmosis water treatment processes for brewing and food and beverage industries; Pre-filtration and precision filtration of mineral water; Clarification filtration of beer, wine, spirits, and other food and beverage products; Pre-filtration of infusions, biological products, and fermentation broths; Pre-filtration and fine filtration of process water; Pre-filtration of fermentation air.
