Purpose
It is used for the re-fermentation test of Escherichia coli and fecal coliform bacteria and the counting of fecal coliform bacteria (MPN).
Inspection principle
Pancreatic peptone provides carbon and nitrogen sources; Bile salt No. 3 inhibits Gram-positive bacteria, especially Gram-positive bacilli and Enterococcus faecalis. Lactose is a fermentable sugar. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate are buffers. Sodium chloride can maintain a balanced osmotic pressure.
Usage
Weigh 37.0g of this product, heat and stir to dissolve it in 1000ml of distilled water, and aliquot into 16mm*150mm test tubes with inverted fermentation tubes, each tube containing 8ml. Sterilize at 121℃ under high pressure for 15 minutes and set aside for later use.
Quality control
Prepare the culture medium according to the label usage, inoculate the following quality control strains, and place it in an aerobic culture at 44.5±0.2℃ for 24-48 hours.
