Product Performance
PO-143 Reverse Osmosis Membrane Scale Inhibitor is a high-efficiency, composite, phosphate-free, and alkaline liquid scale inhibitor/dispersant. It controls scale deposition in membrane separation systems, reducing the risk of fine particles re-fouling membrane surfaces. Additionally, it effectively inhibits scaling caused by carbonates, sulfates, calcium oxide, and metal oxides in the concentrate stream.
Product Features
- Complies with the ANSI/NSF 60 certification standard for drinking water applications.
- The phosphate-free formula significantly reduces microbial contamination in RO systems.
- Compatible with all major reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) membranes, tolerating a wide feed water pH range and relatively high temperatures.
- Environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and free of heavy metals, ensuring safety for RO systems.
- Compatible with various RO membranes (cellulose acetate [CA] and thin-film composite [TFC]), nanofiltration (NF), and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes from leading global manufacturers.
Usage Instructions
- Dosing Point: For optimal performance, add PO-143 before the mixer or security filter. Stir the solution thoroughly for 5–10 minutes when preparing. Clean the dosing tank regularly to prevent bacterial growth.
- Dosing Quantity: The dosage depends on system conditions (e.g., feed water salinity, temperature, recovery rate, and membrane type). The recommended dosage is 2–6 ppm. Consult Penmo’s technical engineers to determine the exact dosing point and quantity for your system; specific injection equipment may be required in some cases.
- Dilution: PO-143 is a standard-concentration solution and can be dosed directly or diluted. Use RO product water or demineralized water for dilution, with a recommended dilution ratio of 5–10 times (do not exceed 10 times).
Packaging, Storage, and Precautions
- Packaging: Supplied in plastic drums (25 kg/drum, 200 kg/drum, or custom sizes).
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and shaded area. Shelf life: 12 months.
- Precautions: Wear proper protective gear during handling. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
