ElectronFans.com reports (by Li Wanwan) In recent years, all walks of life have been accelerating the upgrade of intelligence, from security, transportation, manufacturing, energy to agriculture and other fields. Currently, it is the spring ploughing season, and agricultural planting in various places shows a high degree of intelligence, such as Beidou navigation, unmanned agricultural machinery, scientific seedling raising, and smart irrigation.

Traditional agriculture is moving towards comprehensive intelligence

New technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things are deeply integrated with agricultural production, and information technology is widely used in various aspects of cultivation, management, and harvesting. Currently, the informatization rate of large-scale planting has reached 26.4%, and smart agriculture has become an important means of spring ploughing and spring management.

Data shows that currently, more than 2 million agricultural machinery units equipped with Beidou terminals have been added nationwide, the total number of plant protection drones is nearly 200,000, smart irrigation technology and factory seedling raising are popularized and promoted, and satellite remote sensing, aerial remote sensing, and ground Internet of Things are widely used in pest, disaster, and seedling monitoring and intelligent early warning.

For example, with Beidou-equipped intelligent agricultural machinery, in Xishui County, Huanggang, Hubei Province, because it is located in the southern foothills of Dabie Mountain, about 60% of the fields are located in hilly areas. Unlike the continuous farmland in the plains, the farmland here has small plots, and there are slopes between the plots, so land leveling for spring ploughing is extremely important. If the land leveling is not done well, it is easy to cause high plots to lack water and low plots to drown seedlings in subsequent agricultural production.

During this year's spring ploughing season, the area was equipped with a laser land leveler with a Beidou intelligent detection terminal. With the help of laser equipment calibration next to the field, the land leveler can adjust its angle more accurately during operation, cutting off high ground and filling in low-lying areas, making the originally uneven plots level. Relying on new technologies, the original plots with a difference of more than 50 centimeters can control the height difference to within 5 centimeters.

Another example is intelligent irrigation. In Gangkou Village, Hongxingqiao Town, Changxing County, Zhejiang Province, there are 1,500 mu of broccoli. Soft tube patches are laid under the broccoli. The other end of these soft tube patches is connected to an intelligent water and fertilizer integrated operation system. It calculates the amount of water and fertilizer based on real-time meteorological information provided by the "multi-functional meteorological station" around the base, controls it directly through a mobile phone, and then uses these patch tubes to accurately deliver water and nutrients to each broccoli plant.

This system also greatly saves manpower. For example, to fertilize 1,500 mu of broccoli once, it takes about 1,000 people one day, while three "water and fertilizer integrated" systems can complete it in less than a day.

Application of Beidou Navigation and Unmanned Agricultural Machinery in Agriculture

Beidou navigation is widely used in agriculture. Beidou satellite navigation technology can be applied to precise sowing, farmland information collection, soil nutrient and distribution survey, crop fertilization, crop pest and disease control, special crop planting area monitoring, and unmanned driving of agricultural machinery, among other aspects.

Through the Beidou system, farmers can precisely control the spacing and depth of sowing, improving seed utilization and crop yield. At the same time, the Beidou system can also provide soil nutrient and distribution information for farmland, helping farmers develop scientific fertilization plans, reducing the amount of chemical fertilizer used, and reducing environmental pollution.

In addition, Beidou navigation technology can also be applied to the unmanned driving of agricultural machinery. By adding a Beidou terminal, traditional agricultural machinery can be transformed into an unmanned driving artifact, achieving ultra-low-speed operation and ensuring that every inch of land is fully cultivated. This not only improves operational efficiency and reduces the labor intensity of farmers but also makes agricultural production more cost-effective.

In the context of smart agriculture, Beidou navigation technology can also be combined with remote sensing and geographic information technologies to provide comprehensive support for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries. Through the Beidou system, precise management and monitoring of farmland, forest land, and water resources can be achieved, improving resource utilization efficiency and promoting sustainable agricultural development.

Beidou navigation manufacturers are also contributing to smart agriculture. For example, Beidou Star has a prominent position in the Beidou navigation field, and the quality of its core products such as navigation chips, modules, and antennas is comparable to that of mainstream international products. Its antenna products include satellite positioning antennas (base station antennas, surveying antennas, vehicle antennas, UAV antennas, aviation antennas, high-seismic antennas), satellite communication antennas (SkyPass), ceramic antennas, time-keeping antennas, Internet of Things RFID antennas, and wireless communication terminals (such as radios), etc. As basic components of terminal products, they are widely used in surveying and mapping, UAVs, precision agriculture, robots, smart transportation and autonomous driving, aerospace, deformation monitoring, mobile communications, and emergency rescue, etc., to achieve the reception and transmission of satellite navigation signals and wireless communication signals.

Beidou Star is also developing a new generation of air-medium integrated high-precision antennas. This is a low-cost, high-performance, and highly integrated high-precision antenna product developed for the needs of traditional high-precision applications such as surveying and mapping, monitoring integrated machines, and agriculture. The scheme design has been completed, the demo prototype indicators basically meet the requirements, and further optimization and iteration are underway.

Another example is ComNav Technology. The company focuses on the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of software and hardware products and services related to high-precision positioning technology industry chains, deepens the application of Beidou precise positioning in the industry, and focuses on providing spatiotemporal information solutions, becoming one of the leading enterprises in China's high-precision satellite navigation industry.

ComNav Technology can provide Beidou navigation agricultural machinery autonomous driving systems for precision agriculture. This equipment is based on Beidou high-precision positioning and realizes real-time monitoring and adjustment of the position and movement status of agricultural machinery through navigation control, helping agricultural machinery to achieve autonomous navigation, improving agricultural production efficiency, and reducing labor costs.

Unmanned agricultural machinery refers to agricultural machinery that integrates autonomous driving and robot technology and can autonomously control and perform various agricultural operations. It plays an important role in farmland, orchards, vineyards, and other agricultural planting areas. Compared with traditional agricultural machinery, unmanned agricultural machinery does not require manual driving and can greatly improve agricultural production efficiency and reduce production costs.

The main application forms of unmanned agricultural machinery include, but are not limited to, unmanned tractors and unmanned seeders. Unmanned tractors can be functionally divided according to different operational needs, such as general-purpose (large-field operation), inter-tillage (inter-row tillage of crops), and horticultural (orchard, nursery, etc., operation). Unmanned seeders can achieve efficient and precise sowing operations and are suitable for various types of farmland.

In addition, unmanned agricultural machinery also includes agricultural drones. Agricultural drones can play an important role in multiple links such as sowing, fertilization, spraying, and monitoring. For example, agricultural drones can achieve efficient and precise sowing operations, improving sowing efficiency; through drone fertilization, uniform fertilization and fertilizer saving can be achieved, improving crop yield and quality; drone spraying can effectively prevent and control pests and diseases, reducing the amount of pesticide used; drones can also monitor the growth of farmland in real time, providing farmers with scientific data support, facilitating timely adjustments to management measures.

In closing

Smart agriculture refers to a new type of agricultural production method that combines modern science and technology with agricultural planting to achieve unmanned, automated, and intelligent management. Smart agriculture has many advantages, such as accurately measuring and recording environmental parameters such as soil and air to scientifically formulate production management plans, rationally allocate agricultural resources, and achieve green production with high yields and low inputs.

For example, smart agriculture can use modern intelligent control technology to achieve remote automated farming operations, greatly improving production efficiency, reducing labor costs, and reducing agricultural resource consumption. With the continuous development and application of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, it is conceivable that future agriculture will move more comprehensively towards intelligence.
