The diesel generator set believes that frugality is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. Energy-saving and environmentally friendly equipment that reduces emissions is also what we advocate now. "A thousand-mile journey begins with the first step; a mighty river starts from a tiny stream." We should also apply this spirit of thrift to every aspect of life and production. Let's take a look at several tips for saving fuel in diesel generator sets.
Diesel purification. Diesel contains various minerals and impurities. If not settled, filtered and purified, it will affect the operation of the plunger and the fuel injector, causing uneven fuel supply, poor atomization of the fuel, etc., which will reduce the engine power and increase fuel consumption. Therefore, it is recommended to let the diesel stand for a period of time to allow impurities to settle. When refueling, filter it through a funnel with a filter screen. Also, regularly clean or replace the filter to achieve the purpose of purification.
2. Remove carbon deposits. During the operation of a diesel engine, polymers adhere to the valves, valve seats, fuel injectors and the top of the pistons. These carbon deposits increase fuel consumption and should be removed in a timely manner.
3. Do not overload the machinery. When machinery is overloaded, it emits black smoke, which is unburned fuel being discharged. As long as the machinery keeps emitting black smoke, it will increase fuel consumption and shorten the service life of components.
4. Maintain water temperature. If the cooling water temperature of a diesel engine is too low, it will cause incomplete combustion of diesel, affect the power output, and waste fuel. Therefore, it is necessary to use insulation curtains appropriately. Also, it is best to use soft water without minerals as the cooling water, such as flowing river water.
5. Regular inspection and prompt repair. One should be diligent in observing and maintaining, and regularly or irregularly inspect the machinery. Frequent maintenance and repair should be carried out, and the concept that "prevention is better than cure and maintenance is more important than repair" should be firmly established. Do not allow machinery to operate while faulty.
